Learners who commit to regular sessions — two to three hours per week — are typically test-ready within six to twelve months. Intensive learners can reach test standard in a matter of weeks. Your instructor gives you an honest personal estimate as you develop.

The theory test covers multiple-choice questions and a hazard perception video section. You must pass it before booking your practical test, but you can — and should — start lessons before sitting the theory. Many pupils learn to drive and study for their theory concurrently.

After every lesson your instructor updates your progress record across the DVSA's 24 learning competencies. You receive clear, honest feedback on what went well and what to work on next so you always know exactly where you stand.

Many conditions do not prevent you from driving. The DVLA requires you to declare certain medical conditions and may require a specialist assessment. We have experience working with pupils with a range of conditions and can adapt lessons to suit your specific needs — just let us know when booking.
